• Personal portfolio trading strategy and allocation used:
– Passive investments – 61.5% (Weights: 50% diversified selected ETF’s using optimal risky
portfolio utilizing Microsoft Excel, 11.5% SFIX)
o Active investments – 38.5% (Weights: 8.5% derivatives, 20% fixed income, 10% cash)• Achieved 15.5% Return on Investment during 8-10 weeks of trading.
• Competition evaluation and restrictions:
– Participants were asked to trade with 1M USD (virtual money) using an interactive brokers account over a period of 8-10 weeks; permissible asset classes were US markets & derivatives.
– Participants were assessed based on their Investment Return (25%), Strategy (25%), Presentation (25%), and Communication Skills (25%). -
